Tracer Summit is a legacy building automation and energy management platform used to supervise, control, and optimize HVAC and related building systems in commercial facilities. It offers a Windows-based, client/server interface for centralized control of equipment such as chillers, boilers, air handlers, VAV terminals, and lighting. Core capabilities include scheduling, alarm and event management, trend logging, reporting, and customizable graphics for floor plans and equipment. The system integrates with Trane field controllers and supports industry protocols like BACnet to incorporate third-party devices. Features such as role-based access, multi-site management, and historical data analysis help improve comfort, uptime, and energy performance. Although still widely deployed, Tracer Summit is considered a legacy product and has largely been succeeded by newer Trane building management platforms.
